New Wheels Are On

Recommended Posts

I got my new wheels mounted up about a week ago. They are Vision Off Road model 372 Raptors. 17X8, 25mm offset. Mine are machined/black painted. They also offer chrome.

I had them mounted with the original 245/70/17 tires and TPMS sensors. They even set the air pressures correctly! I was pleasantly surprised.  B)

Here's a before and after from my gallery:

Those look great! Congrats. Does it look like plenty of clearance between the tire and sliding door?

Thanks. Just eyeballing it I'd estimate door to tire clearance around 1.25".

That's pretty good!  A few have run into clearance issues but sounds like that offset and stock tires work well.  My new tires are already wider so I've been a bit worried about offset if I change wheels down the road.

I figured that width and offset would be pretty forgiving. I think a 265 or 275 would fit with no problems.

Looks good.

Where did you buy the window rain shields?  Do you recommended the seller and product?

Thanks!

Glidedon - The window deflectors are the Nissan parts. They seem decent enough. I think they are pretty much the only ones available and because of that, they cost more.

I bought the deflectors and the body side molding from a company called Quirkparts.com. They had some of the better pricing I could find and they were prompt in shipping the parts. I had never heard of them before my purchase.

Thanks, Bamps. They were reasonably priced, too!

Nice looking NV!  I like the color.  IMO The wheels add to the look of the vehicle instead of how so many people choose wheels that steal the attention away from the vehicle.  I've always said Form and Function are the only things that matters but maybe I should add Style to my list.  Thanks to the newer guys for posting.  I was getting tired of the same old bums on here.   :)

KMG - I know what you mean. Style is good as long as it doesn't compromise function. At least not too much, anyway.  B)

I Just bought these exact wheels for my 2014 Nissan NV 3500 hd sl. When i took them to get the stock tires mounted the guy told me my studs were to short. Did you have any problem? Does the tpms work with these rims? Thanks

Alex - The TPMS worked fine, but I did have a problem with the stud length. I started another thread about that. I guess I should have linked them together.

I just needed some extended shank lugs to take care of it. Here's the other thread:

I can get part numbers for the lugs and post it later.

I am buying a 2017 NVP with a 4x4 and 2" lift from Advanced 4x4 Vans. I decided to do my wheels and tires myself to save a bit of money. After researching which wheels I should get, I found the Vision 372 Raptors 17x8. They seem to have the closest offset to the stock wheels. Now that you have had them for a while, how do you like the Raptors? I am also thinking of putting 285 75r17 Toyo tires on them. Do you think this combo will rub on the wells or the door?

I like them and think they are one of the better combinations of width and offset for our vans. Advanced 4x4 had a black NV on their site with these same wheels running 275 width tires. I don't remember if they were 70 or 75 series. I think you'll be fine.
