Installing center console NV 1500 instructions?

Recommended Posts

Caryn,

Thanks for taking the time to follow up on all this - the information is very useful.

BTW - I think you will find that the 12v console outlet is "always live" unlike the dash outlet which goes on and off with the ignition - best to check me on that though.

Wollip is correct. The console 12v outlet is live regardless of key position. Great for charging items all the time but bad if you forget to unplug for long term drain!

So today I put in the fuse but the console still has no power. I will look at it again in the morning. It looks from the new BBG guide that it goes in the number 9 slot under the hood. Please help if im wrong before I unbolt it. To see if the wire pulled loose when bolting in the console.

That's the way it reads to me (after Jerry got me looking at the correct fuse box).

Caryn,

To clean up some unanswered questions on this thread, did you wind up removing the plastic back on the passenger seat? And if so, did it pull directly off? If not, would you share the removal procedure for future reference?

Been trying to pull the plastic back off to get a look at the seat frame underneath to see if I can install NV1500 armrests. No luck. I simply can not get it off:

First tried pulling it up as the schematics show downward facing hooks. Was able to slide it up about 1-2 inches but it feel like the attachment points at the top are not moving.

Then I tried brute force but apparently I need to hit the gym more....I didn't even care about damaging it at that point. This thing ain't coming off..:

Any recommendations?

pulled up the plastic back on the passenger seat. first pull the middle connectors then carefully bend it up so you can get the bottom hooks to let go. top connection is still attached, no way to get that off as it involves metal clamps. it's off enough to be able to work behind it to install the arm rest.

what in the world was nissan thinking? this cover is installed ready to survive a nuclear blast...insane. attached some pics.
