NV roll over 70+ mph!! Is this anybody here?

Recommended Posts

Wow, not even a cut, just bruises! I'm not really surprised, given how stoutly these things are built. Must have been interesting sliding down the highway upside down.

I figure the real test was if they'd buy another NV to replace this one.

Wow, looks to have held up very well for a crash at that speed.  He said all air bags deployed so that certainly helped.  The shape also helps it not keep rolling.  They mention looking forward to another one so it sounds like they'll be replacing it with a newer NV.  They mentioned it was 6 years old!  Looks in great shape for that age.

When I got hit by the girl that wasnt paying attention she was traveling near full speed (about 35 mph) and the damage done to my van was minimal compared to her Honda Civic.  We drive big tanks!  I definitely feel safe in it.

When we bought our van on 2012, additional air bags were optional on cargo vans. Not sure about NVPs. Definitely worth checking if considering a used NV. Our van had them.

Between the bags and everything else that worked as designed, we should all feel very safe in the event something like this happens.

I wonder if they will follow up with what caused this if it wasn't a distracted driver. That happens, but a mechanical failure...

Wow! That was quite the accident. Glad everyone was safe. Looks like the nv does quite well in an accident. Still would like to see a actual crash test video though. I think those side airbags do a lot to keep the passengers safe. Nice job Nissan!

Wow!  That's incredible!  I'm very thankful for their safety and also quite thankful now that we decided on an NVP.  Our 2017 should be here within the next week or so.  Can't wait!
