Just ordered 2015 N2500 SL HR V6 with TP, Side/Read Glass in Arctic Blue

None of this is particularly surprising, unless you have been dealing with commercial managers. Unless Chris, Bates or others can confirm 2016 NVs will be arriving next month, you could be waiting a long time. (Looked at 8/15 van sales (down but more than last year) and total NV sales since 2011. There is a noticeable drop off in sales in August and September in earlier production years, less so last year, and an increase in sales in October on. New model year?) Good luck.

I took a look at your stove top/oven and furnace and wonder where you are putting the propane tank. We considered a semi-custom SMB conversion, until we couldn't find a NV to convert and SMB West owner, Alan Feld, told us he couldn't install a stove top and propane tank on the driver's side due to venting and proximity to the gasoline fill. (Dave Anderson's video didn't show where he put the propane tank.) It may be a RV builders code and not something a home build is subject to. It was a moot point at the time because we decided to go with one of 2 still at the factory.

All reconfirmed with dealer and confirmation from Nissan Corporate in writing. It'll be a 2016 model, VIN number by 3rd week September and expected delivery by Mid-October. We'll be chilling in Tahoe until then leaving DC behind us on Wednesday.

While waiting another 6 weeks is not ideal it works out alright and getting the same deal on a 2016 that we expected on a 2015 model is quite the upgrade.

I have seen a bunch of NV conversions where folks put the propane tank on the driver's inside into the kitchen in an airtight container with vent holes to the floor/outside so that's what we are planning on. That's how David did it as well. I have a copy of his "instruction" manual which shoes how to turn on/off the propane when friends use the NV.

Quick update. Got the VIN today. NV is on the ship and delivery scheduled for between Oct 22-Nov03.

this took a while but hopefully the wait will be worth it!
