Windshield replacement

Recommended Posts

I just got our windshield replaced yesterday because while driving in North Carolina (road trip), something hit the windshield and it cracked it. Insurance covered it (I believe here in Florida insurance has to cover it 100%). The new windshield looks great, but I don't know why I feel that something is not right with regards to how it was installed. If one looks at the windshield from the hood, there is a big plastic piece at the bottom of the windshield that covers the bottom edge. Well, that plastic piece extends up a tad bit on each side. Do these plastic ends stick up a little or are they flush with the windshield? If someone can take a picture, I would greatly appreciate it!

I am attaching a picture of another vehicle, but I have circled the area I am talking about.

Thanks!

Mine sits perfectly flush. Usually when I have a windshield replaced, it's never quite like it was from the factory, and that had always puzzled me as to why.....
