    • Charging currents fighting each other?   I've run multiple charging sources on a single battery for over a decade.  If anything it has helped battery life.  Amperage won't go backwards and fight another charge source.  Battery charge will taper off as the voltage reaches the target.  You are not going to increase voltage by adding more amperage potential.  Without a voltage differential (low battery, high charge source) there will be no amperage flow.
    • Thanks radin2son for your interest in my progress. So far so good, just came back to Michigan from Arizona. There are some changes in my layout:  removed are the following - center unit, trailer hitch, Sun-Mar toilet. Stock tires had been replaced with Nitto. Added one extra leaf to rear spring. I am still in a testing mode for my water system. What I am so happy with: outdoor shower, electrical system, Espar 5kW gasoline heater, 12V Vitrifrigo fridge, Engel 12V freezer, boat hatch on the roof, Maxxfan.
    • For my B2B charging option, I have Sterling unit for 30A. As I have completely separate house battery system (not using body frame minus), my 2 wires from engine battery have two ON-OFF switches. Always my B2B unit is OFF and two electrical systems are independent till the moment when I want to charge my house battery from car generator. The procedure is to turn off solar panels input (to avoid two charging currents fighting each other), turn on connections to my Sterling then start the engine. I run 2 wires underneath from engine battery to the back of  my van (as per Sterling connection diagram). So far everything works as intended.
    • I am embarrassed to post this but figured out my issue with the Torchbeam.  File this under operator stupidity.  The LED bulb housing only seemed to go in one way but with fussing around I reinstalled 180 degrees different and wallah the high beams work when supposed to.  In addition didn't realize that the LED bulb itself has a small amount of rotation adjustment within the housing so it can be lined up properly with the LED's at 3 and 9 o'clock positions.  All the neurons were not firing on the day I first tried to install.
    • White Sands National Park seems to have become a must see NP.  Be sure to check if US 70 and park are closed due to missile testing. Usually just a couple of hours. Closures are posted well in advance on park website.    Roads are plowed due to drifting gypsum. In photo below, water table is inches below the “road” surface. Gypsum dunes are much finer and cooler than sand dunes, so the ambient was much cooler than outside the park.    Bring something flat to ride down the dunes. In the past you could rent a board at the visitor center.
    • Hi there! Does anyone know where I might get the right radiator for my lovely nv200 camper?? Having trouble getting the part number...
    • Andy, How is your conversion working, full time or otherwise?
    • My 2 year search to find someone to make and install a new tent on my N6 Active is over.  Yesterday I delivered the van to GTRV in Sebastopol, CA who are going to install a new tent. Looks good so far.   Will post pictures when completed.
    • Did you ever manage to resolve this issue? I'm having the exact same thing happen. Given that it started occurring for me after doing a build out in the back I tend to think it is an issue somewhere with the wiring.
    • Sometimes you just have to wait until you download photos to a lap top…   BLM Three Rivers Petroglyph site. This may be 1of 2 campgrounds. Visitor center closed and camp host (?) not available. The second campground is 10+ miles closer to the mountains, but website listed it as closed due damage from past forest fire. No indication it was closed on sign going in.    BLM Valley of Fires campground and lava flow. Sites are on a ridge overlooking the lava flow and paved foot trail (1 mi). Tent sites are off the ridge, up against the lava flow.
