Blower motor not coming on

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, I was wondering if someone could please help me diagnose this issue I'm having in my NV1500 work van.  It looks like the plug to the blower motor arced and burned out.

The dealer doesn't have just the plug, they want to sell me the entire wiring harness which isn't happening.  So I cut the ends off and crimped on 2 connectors that I can push onto the contacts of the motor instead.

The wires are getting a constant 13+V regardless of what the climate controls are on.  The blower motor does nothing at all.  I took it out of the vehicle and hooked it up to a battery for a few seconds, and it spins just fine.

I tried to find a blown fuse but I couldn't find any.

Also as a side note, the 12V cigarette lighter plug has no power right now.  My guys drive the truck so I have no idea if these issues happened together or are completely separate.  If they are separate issues I'm not worried about it right now.

Any insight would be extremely appreciated.  Thank you all in advance!

Under the hood is the fuse to the ac blower

Under cover by drivers left knee is the other. Sometimes you cant see it with the naked eye.
