increasingly loud squeak and now rattle from side door 2014 passenger

Recommended Posts

What started as a minor squeak in the door that I thought I had cured with some grease on the catches has now progressed to an increasingly loud rattle. It sounds like something has broken loose inside the door.

Is the inside side of door panel easy to remove to take a look at the inside hardware?

Any ideas other than taking it to the dealer?

The slider or actual passenger door?  There have been other posts about the slider squeaking and rattling.

it is the slider.

It is getting louder and more annoying.

Will consult the dealer next time I take it in for service.

I had this problem too I thought it was my slider too it turned out to be my rear doors that needed to be adjusted. Did you get your problem fixed. I had to take my van back to the dealer 4 times to get this fixed as they thought the same thing as me that the noise was coming from the sliding door but eventually they had another van with the same problem and they had someone ride in the very back and then they knew what was wrong with mine and fixed it.

I thought it was my door too but as it turned out the squeaking was from one of the seats. I just unhooked it and tilted the seat forward and then slammed it back down into the floor hooks and it stopped squeaking.
