sliding door will not lock or unlock electrically

Recommended Posts

have a problem with sliding door, will not lock or unlock electrically, works fine both inside and out mechanically.

i am hoping some one on this forum has access to wiring diagrams so i can diagnose problem.

need schematic for lock system and connector diagram that shows what pins are connected to what wires.

Right now i have to reach around the cabinet to unlock door from right front seat, a real pain.

any help would be appreciated.

fyi i have already tried shimming connector housing for better contact, that did not do anything.

Yes I did that.

I also tried to check for voltage at connectors when operating switch.

Could not find any voltage, that’s why I need diagram to diagnose problem.

Thanks

Due to copyright, I don't have a diagram I can share.  But if you can find the Nissan NV factory service manual online, look at the DLK section.  It has many pages about the power lock system.

Experiencing the same problem here.  I can manually unlock it from the inside and also outside with a key. I have also ship the pins on the door. No Luck !!!

Someone has to have a solution to this. I am also thinking solenoid....but not sure.

The most common fail is the contact pins.  I'd start there.

The contact pins often don't make contact.  If you can lean on the door and mash it into the contacts a little harder and it does work that is the issue.  If you take the contact plate out and shim it from behind with a few washers that will often fix it.
