Would you buy a gas powered 2012 campervan with 200k on the odo

Recommended Posts

Depends on: Price? Make? $$$$ to throw at it?

ConversionTrader.com seems to be the place to sell and buy campervans. No NVs on this site but plenty of GM and Sprinter vans. Vans don’t stay on the site for long.

Their latest offering was interesting. Six 2012 JUCY campervans, based on Dodge Caravan passenger van, with 200k on them starting at $6000. For those not familiar with the green and purple poptop/clamshell rental campervans, they are all over the west. Great starter campervan, seats 5, sleeps 4 with all you need to travel. Who knew you could get that many miles out of them. Even if there were problems, $6000 leaves a lot in your wallet...

I’m not sure I would buy a NV200 with this mileage, but I wouldn’t hesitate to buy a well used NV. Not likely you would find one under $10k.

From what we've seen, those 'JUCY's' have a hard life.

Not certain we would want a Fiat/Chrysler with 0 miles, never mind 200k, given my friend's experience with them.

Probably no harder than a Class B rental, with much less to go wrong. Mainly shows what good maintenance will do.
