MrOlaf Posted August 18, 2014 I just picked up an EZ Pass at AAA. In the pamphlet it says "Not intended for motorcycles or vehicles over 7000 lbs." Has anyone used EZ Pass on their NV passenger? my weight is 9,430 lbs. I wonder if i need a special one.
Jon Nelson Posted August 20, 2014 We move around our ez pass between vehicles - I have noticed that our 4x4 NV3500 doesn't "beep" as accurately (meaning missed beeps) when crossing the sensor area as our Sprinter or Suburban do/did... no worries, they figure it our from the license plate camera recognition and charge us just the same
Jon Nelson Posted August 20, 2014 And... I think the GVW range starts from the $ fees for different vehicles...
MrOlaf Posted August 20, 2014 Thanks for the reply Jon. I called the PA turnpike and talked to a nice lady that basically asked me how many axles and tires I had and said that the weight isn't that important. Prior to ezpass I would sometimes be classified as class 1 and sometimes class 2 when driving the NV passenger as well as my 2001 dodge ram with 8' bed and dumper box.
