NoEffinMini4Me Posted July 29, 2015 Turned out to be brake dust. It will take a lot of polishing to get the spots off. They were up at the 6' level, so I didn't believe they were brake dust.5 minutes with some compound at the dealer and he go some out.Better than having a repair. The hood, side and back have some chips, so after that is repaired and dried out, I will get it polished and sealed.To anyone listening, get the 3m Paint protector film on the front hood and fenders. andy_george Posted July 30, 2015 Those tiny rust specs happen to any vehicle from any manufacturer. Definitely worse during the winter if you live in a road salt state. I'm not sure if it's brake dust, or just tiny slivers of metal that stick to the surface and bleed orange rust. The only way to prevent them is many coats of polish every year.... My motto is that it's always easier to wax before it needs it!
