New windshield price?

Recommended Posts

Anyone replace a windshield yet? I'm gone for work, but my wife sent me a picture of our new 7" crack on the passneger side, right by the grab handle. Just a matter of time before it needs replacement....

Hopefully a few hundred bucks does it...?

I had checked earlier in the year and it was around $400 for me. I just got a huge new rock chip and top-to-bottom crack, so I'll know the price again in a couple weeks....

Btw, that was a quote from a glass shop with installation, not just the glass price.

factory glass? Wondering if non factory glass affects warranty?

Not sure if it was OEM or aftermarket glass. Good question, I'll have to ask.

I'd be very surprised if aftermarket affects the warranty....

I am not sure either.

Is it only AZ that has free, not exactly free (paid for in your insurance policy), windshield fix (not in driver's line of sight) and replacement? Theory is that the powers that be want broken windshields replaced. The insurance industry is fighting this.

We got ours replaced for free from Insurance. That doesn't count as a 'claim' either. We are in Florida too so not sure if that is only in our state? Had to get ours replaced after 2 rocks chipped it in different parts of the windshield. :(
