nv l500 engine

Recommended Posts

I received the official nissan nv brochure yesterday--even tho it is titan based and they are all v-8 powered--the pathfinder 6 will be the only engine offered in the l500 apparantly. DVJ

That will be the deal breaker for me! I can't believe they would do this!

I currently own my second Titan and I love the V8! I was really looking forward to a replacing it with a van.

Hopefully Nissan will get it's act together and change their minds.

I think they did it right.

6 banger for a light duty 1500 series.

Option of V6 or V8 in the 2500

Most 2500 and all 3500's will have the 5.6 V8.

The new NV is based on the Titan platform but I'm disappointed that the NV does not have rack & pinion steering. It's Heavy duty traditional linkage, recirculating ball set-up.

My Tundrta drives sweet with the rack & pinion. No steering play. Less parts to wear out.

Nissan also needs to catch up to Toyota & have a 6spd auto tranny, instead of their 5spd.

Make the manual paddle shifter switch on the column bigger like in my Tundra.

Nissans shift switch is tiny.

I've always have had chevy vans but bought the Tundra pick up for reliability. Miss having a van for many reasons & I'm considering the NV.

I agree with you on Nissan offering a six speed - it makes a lot of economic sense for operators of vans today.
