Slick Locks - feedback needed

Recommended Posts

Has anyone installed the Slick Lock system (slicklock.com)? If so, I sure would appreciate

a few words about your experience with them. Thanks!

I have about 9 months ago. Rear door requires some weather stripping cutting. Side door nothing special.

Installed pretty simple and fine tuned the alignment on the rear. Side was basic as it doesn't have a mating half.

The lock spinners can be a little drag as dirt or moisture can make alignment with the keyway a little slow.

Overall a real nice design without having to drill holes in the doors.

Rick.

Best product out there, no drill.....

Sold countless amounts in chicago on my Sprinters and held up to the salt of winter without ever having a problem.

Sell them all the time on the NV's.

Been looking at the Slick Lock, too. Since we're new to the commercial vehicle market, I have a question about them that I haven't been able to find an answer.

Do they lock automatically, or with a twist, or do you have to lock them with the key? It wouldn't be very good if someone could walk up to the van and lock you in there where you have to go to the front compartment to get out.

Inquiring minds want to know. Thank you!

You have to lock them manually using a key. They are an awesome product. I've had them in three vans and they fit very well. The ones for my NV I just ordered the brackets and reused my old locks. I didn't have to trim any weatherstripping, maybe they changed the design.
