Lift options for 2wd

Recommended Posts

I am thinking of purchasing a Nissan NV 3500 for our family and have been looking into options for a lift and a larger wheel and tire combination. I have seen that someone on the forum used a kit intended for a Nissan titan to lift their 2wd van. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas or knows what parts or kit could be used to install a small lift (2-3") in order to install a larger and more aggressive tire. Thanks

I have 20" wheels with Nitto terra grapplers 285/60/20, and I just got some strut spacers to level out the front from advanced 4x4 in Utah. The suspension stuff doesn't correlate with the trucks. I might raise the back a little after I level it with a shorter leaf spring hanger, only because I don't want it to squat when I tow the travel trailer.

So you added the level lift AFTER the tires?

Yes, I did the tires and wheels first. Then I lifted it.

Just lifted mine 3" about 2 weeks ago. Local shop called Advanced 4x4 in Utah and bought their kit. Then I had the same shop add 305/50/20 Toyo Open COUNTRY AT2s on 20" XD HOSS rims. Had to add three small flat washers to shim the side door but it still holds to the trim lines of the vehicle when closed. Looks completely different and huge. Turns heads everywhere we go.

I have a 3500HD high roof as a service van and had to add a leaf spring to the rear to level it out. If you don't have it at MAX capacity, adding a leaf will certainly lift it up (but stiffen your ride). Mine looks like it's pretty much stock height now. I can't tow a trailer because of my weight lol

I have 2500HD with 3500 struts and lift pucks with firestone Air lift bags and ONAN 5.5 gen under the rear. Mine is service van as well. mine weighs 8k and I pull trailers all the time. I getting ready to ass the Monroe Load adjusting shocks to the rear so it don't ride as rough.

Mine is set up as a fiber splicing Lab
