TJS6 Posted September 13, 2013 What are the specs on the wheels and tires. Looking into the 22" wheels and tires and everyone seems to keep saying that there is nothing that will fit. Quote Share this comment Link to comment
Bimmeup Posted September 14, 2013 TJS6, I got 22" Helo 835 wheels with Nitto Terra Grappler tires which I'll find the specs on for you if you need me too! I bought them through my local Big O Tire and he made sure the tires were rated for this big of a vehicle.Only minor issue with the width of my tires (which are 305), is that when the sliding door opens, it slightly rubs on the tire. Not a biggie to me as I like the width of the tires in the wheel well! Quote Share this comment Link to comment
Bimmeup Posted September 14, 2013 Also, there were a couple other options for 22" wheels from XD wheels, but I liked the Helo best.If you need more on the other ones available, let me know and I'll get those for you. Quote Share this comment Link to comment
TJS6 Posted September 16, 2013 If you could that would be great. We are ordered the same wheel but in the black version. I saw the grappler and also they make a road version but i am concerned that it is too tall and would have rub issues. With all of our kids opening and closing the slider so much i would want to get a little narrower (285) more than likely. What is the tire size you have on there? Bimmeup Posted September 17, 2013 TJS6. Ok, here's the specs on my tires. I got the P305/45/R22 instead of the 285/45/R22 since it has a higher load rating, which I wanted since it's a big vehicle! If you go onto Nitto's website here http://www.nittotire.com/tire/terragrappler#size and scroll towards the bottom where it shows wheel size, if you got the 22's you can see the specs on the tires. There's an asterik showing which tires have a higher load rating. The 285 has a higher load rating too, but up to 2601 lbs vs. the 2910 that the 305's have. That's why I went with the 305.As far as the rubbing goes on the sliding door, it's not that bad. I can still open my door all the way, just rubs while doing it but doesn't get stuck. I took some photos to show if you need me too. Also, the 305 fills out just right with the fender so you don't get that skinny look from behind. The 285's might work fine too in filling it out but you might look into that. Quote Share this comment Link to comment
TJS6 Posted September 19, 2013 if you could i would like to see the pictures. Does is rub on the panel or the door metal? Quote Share this comment Link to comment
Newneumanns Posted January 11, 2014 What about when you turn, any rubbing issues with your front wheels? Your van looks great! Quote Share this comment Link to comment
