Fully loaded before the weekend trip. Drove up steep 6% grade and the NV did great. Was only going about 45-50 at the end of the 6-7 mile incline but I was trying not to push too hard.

Looking good! Are there more bikes behind the trailer? Looks like you are 3 or 4 short ;)

No bikes in the back. There's one in the trailer and another tiny one in the back of the van. I'm thinking about getting a front hitch on the NV so I can bring my bike and the wife's bike as well.

What, and ruin the aerodynamic front end of the NV?! ;)

I've seen other people with a bike carrier behind the trailer and thought they would be somewhat protected from insects & dirt. Also wouldn't interfere with the forward sonar and add any additional wind resistance. How much dirt does the NV throw onto your bikes and trailer now?

I would have to get a hitch installed on the back of the trailer to have a bike rack back there because the bumper-mount racks can twist the bumper and then you lose your bikes. Not willing to take that risk with my bike or my wife's. Bikes on front would definitely pick up some bugs though. I still haven't decided for sure what to do. Between the NV itself, the trailer and canoe, I have stopped worrying about aerodynamics. :)

The NV doesn't throw much dirt on the trailer unless I'm going through mud. The bikes are high enough that they wouldn't get anything even if I did drive through mud.

Best to steer clear of adding a rear hitch... with our compulsive accessorizing, you are liable to end up towing a boat behind the trailer, behind the NV! :)

Actually....I've been thinking about getting a couple sea doos and I've been contemplating towing them behind the trailer. It's amazing how many people do that. I'm a bit leary of the idea and my wife is definitely not keen on the idea. Probably won't happen. Maybe I can strap the sea doo on top of the NV ;)
