  1. I don't think I ever updated this group on the resolution. After some months, Nissan came up with a new license plate frame for the front bumper. Although the car occasionally beeps, it's no where near what it was before. The Nissan dealership should be aware of this change because the Nissan corporate office handled the new frame.
  2. Thought we would give this group an update. 1. Nissan is still working on an engineering fix. 2. They have asked us to get new license plates to see if this fixes the issue. 3. We took the licence plate off (left the frame on) and it still beeps occasionally. 4. We took the whole license plate frame off last Thursday and it still has not beeped. Does anyone out there not have a license plate/frame on their car and still has the beeping issue?
  3. Nissan called yesterday - here are the details: 1. They think that the sensors are going off due to the license plate frame. 2. They removed the frame but they have to keep the plate on the front becase it it law in our state. 3. The sensor still been occasionally because if the license plate moves a millimeter from anything, then the sensor will catch it. 4. They indicated there is a flaw in the design of the front bumper - it likely needs a recessed area for the license plate to sit. They are giving us our vehicle back today with this as a known issue. They have to go back to their engineering design team to fix the flaw. To me, this means they need to redesign the bumper - not a quick fix by any means - likely months. The customer service rep is going to back to the buyback team again to see if they want to purchase our vechicle back - we should hear back in approximately a week. We're not sure what we're going to do at this point - we looked at the other reasonable vehicles in the marketplace (Ford - truly awful, Mercedes - way too expensive to even look at) and are not fans. I know they won't be able to provide a timeframe to fix the issue. I'm curious to see if the 2016 model has this fixed...
  4. This is pretty exemplary of what ours does:
  5. I'm really curious to know if anyone has solved this problem. We've been working with our dealer (and now Nissan Customer Service) on this issue for almost 3 months. We bought a 2015 Nissan NV Passenger SL and we can't remember when this started happening but it was within the first month. The problem was random but fairly repeatable. The dealership engaged Nissan engineering and they replaced all 4 sensors on the van. When we got the van back, the problem reproduced within 24 hours. After extensive conversations with the Service Manager (who is a total #@#$%^&*) and hte GM, we paid for a new van for $300 - which was basiclaly the tax on the depreciation of the first van and a doc fee (same exact van) - ours had about 1500 miles on it. Within 24 hours the new van started doing the same thing. They again have replaced all 4 sensors and swapped out the nav unit but when we got the van back again, the problem reproduced within 2 minutes. They obviously didn't test drive it. After hounding Nissan customer service, they now have a few people coming out next week to take a look at it. We are going on vacation for a week so forced them to get us a loaner from a rental company (a Ford 12 passenger!). Please post if you are still continuing to have this issue or if you have resolved it in any way!
