  1. Just returned from a 1000 mile camping trip through North Georgia and ending on the West Coast of Florida. The NV did great and we have nothing but positive comments about towing ability. We bought a 2285 Lance trailer that is light for its size at 4200 lbs and have not as yet purchased a WD hitch. On this trip we simply used an anti sway bar with great results. We will be going to a WD hitch so we can back up without fooling with bar removal in the future. As we are not leaving again until next month we might get lucky and find a good used one and save a few bucks.
  2. I would think you will be fine with a WD hitch. We love our NV to tow our TT and just returned from a 1000 mile trip. Happy Trails!
  3. You wouldn't be on here if you didn't embrace both of those factors!
  4. Yeah, I was looking at the door handles today going, hmmmmm! Wouldn't take much to black her out fully.....
  5. OK, so I just now opened the door and really looked at clearance. We better keep the proper air pressure in the tires, I'm like a heavy 1/4 inch of clearance between the interior door panel and tire!

  8. Welcome, how big a trailer are you towing and what are your experiences, if you don't mind. We are shopping travel trailers now. Regards Chris
  9. Welcome, I cant think of a better vehicle for a large family!
  10. OK, so we would like to upgrade the wheels on the NV. Using the factory 245/70/17 tires, what should the offset etc be? We don't want to change width of the factory tires. Regards Chris
  11. OK, so got the photos to upload dont know about the order, but I am sure you all will get the idea,,,,,
  12. So, given that families are buying NV's like crazy, I don't get the lack of a visor mirror on the passenger side. Its a must have for the wife and so my first project. I wanted something that was stable, but not necessarily permanent and certainly not just glued to the visor, so here you go. Step 1 - Bought a plastic container from Goodwill for $.49 Cut out two strips (doubled for strength) to go under the paperwork clips on the visor. They go from one side to the other creating a mounting strip/holder. Step 2 - Bought a cheap mirror at Walmart. Didn't figure the attached tape would hold so bought some 3M brand wider stuff. Step 3 - Removed the existing tape on the mirror and replaced with a nice fresh chunk of the 3M stuff. Apply firmly to my plastic "holders" and wala non permanent mirror in place. If my plan fails in some way, I will update you all. Regards Chris Note: I guess pics are too big to load, I can email if you want them.....
  13. My wife and I saw our first NV on a buying trip in 2013 and loved them ever since. I am pleased to now call ourselves owners. Have been visiting the forum for a while as part of our research, but felt like we should participate now that we aren't posers anymore!
