  1. Titan XD always was scheduled for December release....No pricing. No order guide, no dealer training as of yet. A slow launch to be sure.

I'll be picking up a Titan XD prototype tomorrow to show some fleet customers.  Quite excited for that. I drove a pre-production prototype around the streets of Edmonton once before (a yellow SS camero about 7 months before launch) and it was a fun experience. Had people chasing me around waving me to pull over.

I don't think putting a diesel in a cargo van would be a thunder stealer. More like the truck will landand Nissan will be advertising "hey here's a new spiffy pickup truck"  and then as an afterthought "oh, btw we put the same engine in the vans".

But knowing Nissan it would take them 6 months after release of the truck to get it done anyways so very little danger of concurrent new engines.  (just speculation though).

  2. I've sold a couple as working vehicles.  We have a great many oilfield locations that are 4x4 only as part of the requirements to go on site. To date, not a problem with the three of them, to date not a single bit of negative feedback on all three of them.

It is a truly great conversion done by Quigley.

  3. Chris when have you heard production starting for 2016's? We heard it was starting in October this year instead of the usual January. Was told that 2015 ordering is done by our NV corporate type. Cdn versus US prod?

No word on any changes up here in Canuckistan too. Betting it'll be almost identical versus years past.

Doubtful that diesel will flow over to NV.

The XD is going to attract a ton of attention so doubtful anything released near it will garner much attention. NV or otherwise.

  4. Just looked back over my sales info, indeed the passenger does (at least the 2015 model year) come with 70's.

I won a few bids for cargo vans that required swapping over the OEM tire to something different so we have quite a few sets of 75's which we've been putting on our trade ins/buy ins irrespective of 1500/2500/3500. If we ever got a used passenger van and it needed tires I doubt we'd hesitate in the slightest to put on the 75's.

  5. One thing with commercial vehicles is there's lots of little upfits and specialty products out there.  Every time I chat with my counterparts at other Nissan dealers I wind up learning something new.
