  1. I bought a 2017.5 Nissan Rogue SL AWD with exactly 32,999 miles in December 2020. It is a certified pre owned vehicle. I got the first oil change at the dealership. No mention of low oil, said everything was fine. On 07/04/2021 while driving out of town, I got a low oil pressure, stop engine NOW warning. I pulled over and there was no oil on the dipstick, at all. My son-in-law brought me oil, it took almost 5 quarts. I drove it home and called Nissan the next day. Nissan told me they could not find anything wrong with it. They changed my oil & told me to come back in 1k miles. At 1k miles, oil was still full. Before going on a short road trip, I checked my oil and it was so oil, it was barely on the dipstick. And the oil was tar black and smelled horrible. I made a video of me checking the oil, took a photo of the dipstick, odometer and oil change sticker. The SUV almost ran out of oil in exactly 1,357 miles into the oil change. Nissan has me scheduled to come in tomorrow. After reading your comments, I am beyond concerned. I have had exactly 2 oil changes and put just over 10k miles. I cannot imagine the damage that has been caused by first running it out of oil and then running it super low on oil again. I will post what I learn tomorrow.
