Every time I buy a vehicle, I join a forum for it. Last week, I bought a '13 V8 NV2500 with more than a few miles on it (230k). I was looking for a van to transport two Honda Trail 125s to and from the 2025 Scooter Cannonball as well as run as a support/chase vehicle. Unfortunately, most vans in my budget don't have the ceiling height necessary to carry motorcycles. While the SCBR isn't until next June, I wanted to have ample time to dial it in for its intended purpose.
I could have gotten insurance through my current carrier on a V6 model but not the V8. I finally managed to get someone to cover it but I had to wait two weeks to kick in. So now it sits in the driveway until next week. Then I can get it smogged, registered and all that jazz. New lug nuts are already on the way.
This forum has already been quite helpful. I hope to be able to contribute something valuable at some point.
