Ok, here's the specs on my tires.  I got the P305/45/R22 instead of the 285/45/R22 since it has a higher load rating, which I wanted since it's a big vehicle!  If you go onto Nitto's website here http://www.nittotire.com/tire/terragrappler#size and scroll towards the bottom where it shows wheel size, if you got the 22's you can see the specs on the tires.  There's an asterik showing which tires have a higher load rating.  The 285 has a higher load rating too, but up to 2601 lbs vs. the 2910 that the 305's have.  That's why I went with the 305.

As far as the rubbing goes on the sliding door, it's not that bad.  I can still open my door all the way, just rubs while doing it but doesn't get stuck.  I took some photos to show if you need me too.  Also, the 305 fills out just right with the fender so you don't get that skinny look from behind.  The 285's might work fine too in filling it out but you might look into that.

  2. TJS6,

I got 22" Helo 835 wheels with Nitto Terra Grappler tires which I'll find the specs on for you if you need me too! I bought them through my local Big O Tire and he made sure the tires were rated for this big of a vehicle.

Only minor issue with the width of my tires (which are 305), is that when the sliding door opens, it slightly rubs on the tire. Not a biggie to me as I like the width of the tires in the wheel well!
