  1. I didn't even know these things existed until my 03 F-250 gave up the ghost back in August on on the way back to the shop from the bank. It was only 118°and the aircon was blasting (until it wasn't) but there was ~500k on the clock, time to say goodbye. Someone made me an offer I couldn't refuse on a 2012 NV 2500 high top with 167k and bone-chilling aircon. I liked it right away. It also came with a worn out ignition/door key, which will run me $85 for a new and programmed replacement. (no fob) Are the door locking (non-power) mechanisms troublesome? I realize the passenger side door will benefit from a newly cut key, as will the ign lock cylinder, but the driver door and left side rear door both turn easily but nothing happens. The slider is also temperamental, but that one also might benefit from the new key. The seller said the connection between the driver door outside key receiver and the manual push to lock/pull to unlock deal is gone. I have no clue what's behind the plastic, no service manual as of yet. And I hate doing that type of repair. So do my knees. Anyone here tackled a repair like that?
