Just a update on these tires, So far this van has not gotten stuck and has really impressed me with the traction I m getting with these tires. I highly recommend them!
-
Mine did this while getting gas the other day and on a few occasions , lucky thing my side door doesn't lock.

Welcome to the site, not much action around here, I really like your Festool setup,
My company have been using them for many years, mostly the sanders.
Good luck with your truck!

I have done some sound deadening , also put some insulation behind the Masonite panels, and installed a rear bench.
Throw a air mattress in the back and there my homemade camper

Pretty cool, the 4x4 would ideal for some remote camping!

Chains are great, but hate the hassle of putting them on, I ended up putting the Firestone on the front and rear

It;s been a while since I have been on this Forum, I have the 2012 NV 2500, looking to put a set of snow tires for the upcoming winter, What did fellow forum members use?
Did you just put them in the rear,or go with all 4? Mostly NYC driving with some Upstate runs.
Thanks Bx77

around town 12 or less, it says 17.5 MPG on highway, for camping this thing is great, I take mine upstate to my Hunting club, hold's plenty of gear, and you could put a air mattress in the back and sleep high and dry, I also have a bench seat that I take in and out. so there is room for 4 or 5.
But after this weekend I will get some snow tires, did some slipping on the wet gravel roads and grass!

Van is correct about the loading dock, when you are by yourself it's easy to load from the back!
The center comsole has a plug and ac outlet, hard to reach when driving but no biggie.
Dome switch, I pointed that out to Nissan Engineers and Rep when I met them, they thought it was there, and reply "Oh S***"

Nice, just put 2 of mine into the albums, Good Luck!

Just bought my NVP. Posting a bunch over this website...why, because this van is the future! Trust me, in 1-2 years, they will cost 10k more than they do now.
Lets see some pictures, saw one on the highway, when I first got NV Cargo last year all the limo drivers in NYC wanted to know if it came with seats!!
I had a bench installed in mine.

Kit,
I fully understand how new and old Transmissions work. I personally believe there is a issue with mine. Today I felt it slip and bang into gear from a stand still. I was one of the first in NYC to get one of these and meet with Nissan Engineers and Managers to discuss pros and cons with the Van. I also was part of a 2 week test program with Nissan, and when I answered their questions, I pointed out about the shifting and was told you are not the first to say this! I also pointed out there was no Cabin light switch from the drivers seat, and they said "Oh Shit we never knew that"
Anyway I go in for a oil change next week, I will point it out and get it on record.
Thanks again for your input

No I am not new to Automatics!
-
It feels like it sticks in the lower gear, then when I ease off it shifts. under normal driving it's fine

I have about 12K on my 2500, anybody notice the Transmission hanging up in gears when accelerating hard?

Hi Everyone!
I just bought a 1500 NV SV Standard Roof and it's at the conversion shop while we scratch our heads. I hope more great minds can help! I was led to believe that this model of the NV Cargo would be perfect to convert. I want to transport 4 big dogs to dogs shows in their plastic crates. I want an auxiliary air conditioner run by a generator that will keep the dogs comfortable in the van for up to 4 hours. I want to leave my gear stowed in the van between shows. I want some open space to put stuff if I do a Costco or Supermarket run.
Surprisingly, the only way the crates will fit is if we build a platform to raise them above the wheel wells. Then two 700 crates will sit side by side facing the rear doors. Two more 500s will fit behind the driver's seat facing the side door. Some of the gear (wire crates, grooming table) will fit under the platform. Budget prevents me from having storage options above the smaller crates.
Now the problem: the spare tire will be removed from under the van to install the generator (Onan 2.8 microlite). The obvious plan was to install it on the drivers side rear door, but it covers the camera. The shop's idea was to install it INSIDE that rear door in front of the dog's crate door. They must not be dog owners if they think I doing all this and then forcing my dog to breath tire fumes before arriving at the show grounds! The shop's second idea was on top of the one of the pair of crates, I assume suspended from the ceiling of the van. Well, *I* don't want to smell tire for hours either!
I'm hoping the community can offer me some ideas that the professionals can't seem to come up with!
Oh, and while you are thinking, he gashed his head on the rear door latch and needed 8 stitches, what have others done to avoid that (other than duck)?
Thanks in advance, very, very, much!
Gail
This is where a high top would have come in handy. Roof mount, have him weld a mounting bracket up there! and put the tire up top

I put Dyna Mat (got it on Ebay) on the whole interior, this has helped. if you go to YouTube there are plenty video's of about this subject!

If you could get the part number would definatly appreciate it, was wondering if it was difficult to step over the console to get to the back of the van,
Yes!

I have had my NV1500 for about a month now, bought it used with about 15,000 miles on it, am having a few regrets that I didn't get the upgraded model with the power windows, locks and the cruise control, I was looking at several at the dealer and they kind of pulled a switcheroo on me as I was under the impression mine had cruise control, did come with the Adrian steel shelves and bulkhead which I'm going to take out ( anyone interested?) Overall am happy, have had a lot of questions from people wanting to know more about it, was wondering if anybody that has an NV with the center console (mine dosent) think it worth the trouble to have one put in.
's
I have the center console in my NV, and it is great, it slides forward and is great to lean on. I have had plenty of lunches and breakfasts. on mine, and it's deep, it can hold a lot of crap. The hanging folders come in handy and it has a outlet and Cig. plug also. and 2 extra cup holders.
The bad they says it can hold a lap top but mine is about a 1/2" to wide. The cup holders are over sized, so a small coffee gets lost in it, (A roll of black tape fixed that)
and the little tray that comes with it sort of gets in the way, when you want to look for something.
Any other questions just ask.

Contacted the MFR Black Horse who said the first batch of Bull Bars had a design flaw and said he will email me when the new ones are ready for purchase. He said they will attach to the tow hook holes.
Did they say how much??
