  1. I'm going back to my roots with the 2017 Nissan NV3500 V8. My first car was a Datsun-Nissan Sentra, loved owing a a couple 300ZX twin turbos, and I'm looking forward to putting the NV3500 V8 to the test regularly towing heavy with a 7% grade. I'm replacing a E350 V10 econoline that I put 2nd row seats in. So I'd like to do the same in the new 2017 NV V8 high roof. I'm used to passing everything but a gas station having owned Ford 460 and V-10 gas motors over the years - so I do have a bit of a heavy towing/power complex going on. I did test drive 2 new Nissan NV Cargo high roofs V8's (16 and 17's) -identical with the exception of the new V8 vs the old V8 and there is a noticeable power difference! Enough to pull me off the fence and join the converted Econoline owners. The Ford Transits rubber donut/Guibo/flex joint...(what ever they call it) was the tipping point for me. Having seen a cracked one first hand on a 2016 Tranist with 20K on the odometer was enough for me to get over the brand loyalty hump. I look forward to posting some fuel economy numbers after the break in period. Any help/comments/referrals in 2nd row removable seats builds would be a huge help! I was really impressed with Nor-Cal vans knowledge for a legal 2nd row install but they only work on Transits. I guessing this is going to be a theme. My first thoughts are getting my hands on some ford transit seats and tracks. 3 point integrated seat belts are a must. Thanks.
