radin2son Posted September 25, 2016 Where are you storing your batteries? Ford makes or outsources a bracket that attaches to the frame. An electrician we know who lives in his van installed 3 this way. 1 Bamps reacted to this
mahu Posted September 25, 2016 battery box bolted to the frame in the floor.
mahu Posted October 14, 2016 cabinet doors are all installed now. Bed frame is going up and heading to IKEA for slats and mattress next week. After that all that remains is hooking up the propane to the stove and heater, water pump, and a final paint job on the bed and cabinet doors. Racing the weather here in Tahoe and hoping to get things done before ski season starts in a month. :-) Oh and we also got our Golden Retriever puppy Mango. Warning: Cuteness overload! 1 Chris Dempsey reacted to this
radin2son Posted October 14, 2016 Are you sleeping crosswise?
mahu Posted October 14, 2016 no, why?5'8 on the driver side 5'11 on the passenger side.u shape during day, one seat on each side. at night leg room gets filled by lowering table to complete the bed.this way one person can still take a nap while the other can sit at the table. radin2son Posted October 14, 2016 Photos give the impression of a very tight space. Some do attempt to sleep crosswise. Even with the bumpouts you see on some Outside Van conversions, this would not work for most people.
wollip Posted October 15, 2016 Congrats - you're really pulling it together nicely. Now enjoy the results of all that hard work!!
mahu Posted June 23, 2017 After a record winter and ski season in Tahoe we are back at it and finishing up the conversion. Snow plow damage is fixed and the van looks as good as new. If anyone needs work on their high roof go to Collision Pros in Auburn. They fit the van in their paint booth by deflating the tires a bit. Great service. Also Future Nissan in Roseville has a great service department. Look for Chris.Propex heater is in and so is the water pump. Cabinet shelving is build. Paiting shelfs this weekend. Scheduled depature for Alaska after July 4th. 2 nihil_perditi and laharview reacted to this

mahu Posted June 27, 2017 Looking good! I am working on the water system right now as well. Any pictures of your freshwater tank set up would be appreciated! Thanks! We are still waiting on our 13 gallon freshwater tank from national tank outlet. We use a shureflow pump and accumulator which connects to the faucet. Pretty straight forward. I'll post photos when it's set up. :-)
mahu Posted June 27, 2017 colors are on and 2 out of 3 clear coat. One more clear tomorrow morning and then some touch up. Coming along nicely. 10 days until we set out for Alaska.
