Daniel Douglas Posted July 28, 2016 I just got lined up to pick up my NV next week hopefully. Went with the 3500 SL V8 and will use it for my family and big dog, pulling our Travel Trailer, and just for all the daily stuff we don't have room for in the RAM or Mini-van! Excited to get it. Lining up a DVD/LCD install to get that for the kiddos and am excited to get it configured for my family! 2 Bamps and Supermommy reacted to this
ASD Dad Posted July 28, 2016 Welcome and congrats! We have 3 little guys and two large dogs with one large toyhauler so this was about the only thing on the market that made sense! 1 yr and 25,000 miles later (a lot of it towing) we're very happy with the decision. I drove a Tundra Crewmax and was out of room. Wife has a Sienna and that wont tow!
Daniel Douglas Posted July 29, 2016 Awesome. We have a ram we use to pull now but with the new big puppy growing and 4th kid on the way (3girls now) we knew it was time to upgrade. Can't wait to get it. Having all the extra cargo space and fitting everyone comfortably will be a big change from cramming in the Ram! 1 Bamps reacted to this
radin2son Posted July 29, 2016 Welcome. There seem to be more families seriously considering NVPs. Pulling a travel trailer, cargo space and expanding family are great reasons to buy. Let us know your impressions.

chphilo Posted December 8, 2016 (edited) Welcome to the forum. Post some pictures when you get your van. We have four children and basically ran out of room in Sienna. Supermommy, we installed audiovox dvd player soon after the purchase of the van. We couldn't go without one. One we got was Audiovox 13.3' with four wireless headphones. The phones generally work well. Sometimes, if one child is sitting all the way back of the van, it kinks up a bit. We also have it hooked up to the factory speaker and it sounds great. Jackie Posted April 9, 2017 I found a new 2016 NVP 3500 and would like to pick it up in the very near future. Do you have any tips for me? I'm nervous about the size, as I will be coming from a Highlander and the only thing close (by far) in size I've driven is a Tacoma. I'm hoping since you have had yours for awhile you can offer tips or advice from your experience. I'm 5'4" and need running boards ASAP. Did you find the tire pressure was off after you left the dealership? Anything I should look for before I drive it home? I plan on driving it pretty empty, with 1-4 teenagers and two dogs, other than groceries. I have two teenagers, but with friends along the extra space is needed. Will use for trips with my sisters' family and hopefully towing a tt in the future. Excited, but a little intimidated. I'm a single mom, so I have been researching for a long time. Thank you in advance for any feedback.
radin2son Posted April 9, 2017 Assuming you have driven one, the rear camera, front (if part of the trim level) and rear sonar, tow mirrors and raising up the driver seat help all of us park. The ride is great, but you have to get used to braking. There have been a few posts regarding steering and alignment, but most of us feel they track straight. That said, be sure you really need the size of an NV. If plans to tow a tt are "near" future, you will have a great vehicle. But, teenagers' interests change and there are smaller vehicles that can tow. If you ruled out all other vehicles, you can't go wrong with a NV... 1 andy_george reacted to this
Jackie Posted April 15, 2017 As of 4/14/17, I am the owner of a new 2016 Nissan NV 3500 HD SL V8! Signed paperwork and dropped off my finance check. Hoping for delivery next week or weekend. Very excited. Test drive was awesome and I took odometer up to 11 miles before parking it back at dealership (which was in the biggest open area). I checked the sliding door for issues, though I know others have stated issues arrive after delivery. Did not notice any steering sway while driving - which I read on another post. Nissan NV vs Toyota Highlander brakes are very different, will be an adjustment. Lowered shoulder seatbelt and seat and felt very comfortable. Side mirrors were very odd - like a bus, so that will be new. Looking forward to removing driver side back bench and 2nd row single seat for more room. I have read EVERY post I could find over the past year and I really need to thank all you contributors. Thank you all!!!
Jackie Posted April 15, 2017 Hopefully this link works...
radin2son Posted April 15, 2017 You can't go wrong with your choice. You will get to love the side mirrors, even more so if you can adjust them to almost entirely get rid of blind spots and see where you are in your traffic lane. The hood obscures a lot.
