Anyone know of any chips, tuning kits, air intakes for the NV? I have the 5.6L NV3500HD SV and wonder if the engine is identical to the titan 5.6L to allow for air intakes etc.

So I am thinking, based on intuition and research, that the engine s nearly identical to the TITAN 5.6L. I did some research and found a free airbox mod to the titan airbox, which consists of cutting out part of the snorkel in the airbox. I reset the ECU, and will see if that has an impact on MPG.

We're getting a 3500 SL passenger for road trips/camping. I'm going to start searching the Titan forums for tuners. I do find it odd that the V8 has a taller final drive than the V6. I would think something closer to 3.20 than 3.50 would be better on the highway.

The one I looked underneath at the dealership was a V6, but the exhaust layout looks like it follows the same routing as the V8 Titans.  The wheelbase is different from both the short and long wheelbase Titans, so a cat-back exhaust likely won't be a direct bolt-on.  There is another thread on this forum where a member posted his modification to allow an Airraid intake to fit- apparently the engine compartment is wider on the NV than on the Titan, so he used a spacer and now it fits.

edit 8/26/13 : It was this thread- http://nissannvforum.com/topic/148-cold-air-intake-kit-for-2500-v6/ - I guess it was you, Xavman!  How is it working out?

Is the ECU reset the same as the Titan?
