TM3 Posted June 1, 2017 We are a family of 5 with a dog. We've owned the 2017 NV3500 for a month now. We like to travel and are nearing 3K miles on the van. Hands down better than the five family vehicles I've previously owned. I was going to buy a NV2500 in 2014 but my wife told me to get the Armada 2 handsomeNV and Bamps reacted to this
ASD Dad Posted June 1, 2017 Welcome to the site! Congrats on your NV. Whats your mpg been like so far? I've been curious to get more feedback on the new 2017 motor and trans combo. 1 Bamps reacted to this
radin2son Posted June 1, 2017 Welcome. Awhile ago, Truck Trend did a long term review of the Armada and NV 2500 cargo. MPG wasn't all that different. Not only do you get a whole lot more room, you should get better mpg. 1 Bamps reacted to this
TM3 Posted June 1, 2017 ASD Dad, I calculate 16 mpg city and 20 mpg highway. I could be wrong. Either way, I average about 18 mpg overall. Driving from AL to CA this month, I'll try to document it more accurately. 2 Bamps and ASD Dad reacted to this

TM3 Posted June 8, 2017 I drove it until the estimate to empty dashed out. I assume it had 2 gallons left. So with a full tank and estimate at 384 miles to empty divided by 25 gallons gives me the estimated MPG. 384÷25= 15.36 MPG450÷25= 18 MPG On a side note, I believe the specs say it has a 28 gallon tank. Not sure where the other 3 gallons go... 1 Bamps reacted to this
radin2son Posted June 8, 2017 Nice gas price. We paid paid $2.79 in a small town in Utah on our trip. How strange that the most we put in the tank was 23.021 (373 mi), last year. The most this year was 19.089 (278). The manual isn't very informative about when the low fuel warning comes on and states "there will be a small reserve in the tank when the fuel gauge needle reaches E." My guess is that the warning icomes on at 1/8th tank (3+ gallons or 45 miles) and E leaves about 2 gallons or 30 miles. Wouldn't count on this. 1 Bamps reacted to this
