chphilo Posted June 1, 2017 I decided to get some Method wheels then find out that they are not hub centric for Nissan NVP. Most vendors don't list bore size for their wheels, but I am having hard time locating ANY hub-centric wheels. Do they make any hub-centric wheels for Nissan vans? ASD Dad Posted June 1, 2017 Big companies almost never make hub centric wheels, just too many hub sizes. Most will offer a plastic or aluminum hub ring though. If you use the aluminum ones coat with a thin smear of anti seize grease so it doesnt weld itself to the iron brake rotor. I raced for years on hub centric rings that were both plastic and aluminum and never had one fail even after many track days. chphilo Posted June 6, 2017 My local mechanic who does all the maintenance work for our vehicles recommended that we save DuraTrac for winter and get summer tires (hence the reason I started looking at wheels). My wife drove about 5000 miles last year. This year, she will probably drive about 8000 miles. Do you think it's even worth getting a second set since we don't drive much? ASD Dad Posted June 6, 2017 Personally I would drive the Duratracs until they are dead. If you want to do two sets of wheels and tires then you can get a dedicated set of true snow tires for winter. Even with a good AT tire like the Duratrac a pure snow will have exponentially better snow and ice traction. With so few miles driven you're looking at 6 years of driving on the Duratacs! That is guessing only 50,000 miles of usual tread where you could get much more (or less). Keep in mind if you get a second set of wheels/tires you're looking at storing almost 400 pounds somewhere and lugging those around when it is time to change. chphilo Posted July 10, 2017 Thanks for the input. My wife and I sat down and estimated that our yearly mileage to be substantially higher than our previous estimation of 8k. Since we still have almost new stock tires, and since wife seems to be very happy with DuraTrac's winter performance, we decided to get a second set of wheels. American Bunker and we had stock tires mounted on them. Wife loves the wheels, but hates the stock tires' looks.
