optic462 Posted July 24, 2017 Hello members. I am happy to have found this forum. I am hoping to learn anything I can about my new purchase last week; Nissan NV 3500 SL (Passenger Van). This vehicle will be replacing my 2015 Ford Transit 150 (8-seater). While I did LOVE LOVE LOVE my Transit; I primarily made the change for the towing abilities of the V-8. We are going to be upgrading to a larger travel trailer later this year, and we will need the extra power....the leather seats are nice too, I won't lie. Right now you're probably wondering, wow...a Transit and a Nissan NV. Like many of you, I have what is now considered a large family. I am the father of 4 lovely children. ASD Dad Posted July 24, 2017 Welcome to the site! The NV has no comparison to any other vehicle in it's class for towing, it is nearly double the next competitor. That is why we bought it, I tow the camper in my sig line all over the South and East coast including the mountains of NC and TN. You have even more power and the new 7 speed transmission so it should be a nicer towing experience. radin2son Posted July 24, 2017 Welcome. It is all about how you plan to or use a vehicle. Most of us feel our NVs are trucks. You will be very happy...
