jbru167 Posted August 22, 2017 (edited) Do you have any pictures of the interior install? Did you put anything under hood? Edited August 22, 2017 by jbru167
Fatherof5 Posted August 24, 2017 Nothing under the hood. I could see doing the firewall sometime but that seems like it would be a major pain. If you really wanted "lexus" quiet you would pull all panels and carpet and the entire dash and cover every inch. However..... " ain't nobody got time for that"!! No pics at the moment, I'll pull a panel and snap a pic or two to give an idea. 1 ASD Dad reacted to this

Bamps Posted October 3, 2017 (edited) I used rattletrap on mine and was impressed with how much quieter the van is. https://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=rattletrap&tag=googhydr-20&index=aps&hvadid=174211324760&hvpos=1t1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=31345263472723345&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=e&hvdev=t&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9030959&hvtargid=kwd-796997712&ref=pd_sl_91jroltk79_e Edited October 3, 2017 by Bamps 2 laharview and timsbeast reacted to this
goseth Posted October 24, 2017 Second Skin Damplifier is another good sound deadener though pricey. 1 Bamps reacted to this
caryhecker Posted December 21, 2017 (edited) I added a lot of rattle proofing and sound deadening....I don't think I can ever get it to be quiet, but then again it's a Beast with huge windows and a huge rack on top catching air... Cypress3500 Posted December 29, 2017 Did you guys notice a significant reduction in noise with the Dynamat? Trying to debate if it's worth the time and money.
caryhecker Posted January 9, 2018 cypress ...yes. takes some time, but worth it. also, get new speakers and put the rattle stuff around the speakers so they have more bass and don't rattle. Also on the wheel wells and floor boards...you can get a bit crazy if you keep going. I drove across the state with all the insulation off and we could not even hear each other speak it was so loud...night and day with it all on. 1 Ben Murphy reacted to this
aabel Posted October 1, 2018 I’m about ready to do some sound deadening also. In addition to the fatmat/dynamat has anyone filled voids with spray foam? I was going to throw some spray foam in the mix, but didn’t know if anyone had done it?
