cjasek Posted April 22, 2018 I'm getting ready to change the oil and filter for the first time on my 2016 NVP. The filter seems very hard to access without removing a plastic guard from underneath the front of the engine. Do you usually remove this? Any experience someone would like to share? Thanks! andy_george Posted April 23, 2018 My 2014 doesn’t require removing anything.
ASD Dad Posted April 23, 2018 My 2015 requires me to drop that panel. It comes off easily. I havent tried it without removing it though... I think it was like 4 easy access bolts to drop it. Made a mess the first time, filter drains right over a crossmember that has a little ramp to catch the oil. Still had oil places I didnt want!
bbq Posted August 21, 2018 i don't remove the plastic guard ,if your upper body all the way over the filter, you can easy to reach the filter,i put a 2"deep 6"x10" container under the filter to collect the oil, remember don't put the filter in to container, that will no room to take the container out.before you take off the filter, you better find the best way how to put the container in and out.
