radin2son Posted September 27, 2018 (edited) 2012 and possibly 2013 NVs had 36k/3 yr warranties so there is need to use Nissan Commercial dealerships for service. Recalls have been minor and few. Many owners reside a long distance from commercial dealerships or there are few to chose from. The longest warranty tow so far is Moab to SLC, Utah. Any interest in posting good independent shops (service, tires, glass, ac, auto body etc)? Mark Rogers Posted September 27, 2018 If you're in Idaho, you try any of the Bruneel shops for repairs. I haven't taken my NV there yet because it's still under warranty, but they've been good about fixing other cars for us. They've always seemed competent and honest when I've dealt with them. If you need tire work done in Idaho, drop by any Les Schwab tire store for a flat repair, tire rotation, lug nut check, or tire pressure check. They offer these services for free, no matter where you bought your tires. I've heard that Discount Tire does the same, but I haven't verified that myself. However, these shops aren't the cheapest places to buy new tires. For new tires you want Costco or tirerack.com. (Costco also has the best deals on batteries and wiper blades.) For glass work, I recommend Summit Auto Glass in Eagle, ID. It may be a smaller shop, but their prices are good. You can get a really good deal if you find one of their coupons. Their service is top notch, they offer free mobile service, and they can work directly with your insurance company. 1 radin2son reacted to this
radin2son Posted September 27, 2018 I’m not going to put this in list format. Too time consuming plus this should be easy enough to follow. We’ve been to Eagle, west of Boise, on a trip heading east from the Columbia River Gorge. 1 Mark Rogers reacted to this
radin2son Posted September 28, 2018 Stuttgart referred me to Sandy’s West RV Center to have the NV house batteries replaced. In the early ‘90s they sent me and our VW there. Completely forgot this. They are located just off I-10 and Miracle Mile and will work on all NV conversions, including diy conversions. They also will work on all travel trailers except Airstream. sandyswestrv.com
