Elijah Posted December 10, 2018 Man do I miss the power sliding door thing on my minivan. When I drop my kids off they never shut the door right and I have to park this beast, walk all the way around and manually shut the door. Ugh! Now, I know that it would get super pricey to fully automate that sliding door, with so many safety issues having to come into play, so I'm thinking of something much simpler. What about some kind of actuator that would release the door from the open position? Getting my kids to successfully close the door has been an issue. Either they keep trying over and over or Hulk SMASH!! So if there was some kind of actuator I could easily trigger from the driver's seat that could release the door from the open position then I could use the brake to quickly close the door.
