Are the seats a warranty item?

2016 model purchased in October 2016. 79,000 miles. 
 

On a day when the temp was 34 degrees; my seat split open. Is this covered under the 5 year, 100k mile warranty?

You have nothing to lose by checking with a local dealership and, if need be, pushing it with Nissan Commercial customer services.

Yes, they are covered.  Mine lost all the "dye" in the pleather on the drivers side bottom cushion and they replaced the cover.  Took HOURS to replace, they had to take the seat apart and actually replace the outer cover.  This was a few years ago and the new cover has been fine.

True enough, but it took awhile for  ASD Dad to get this resolved.

Alright. I finally made it to the dealership. It was warranty'd. They ordered both the seat covers

for the back and lower part and replaced them.  No charge.
