CAI & Exhaust for NV 3500 SL

Recommended Posts

Just purchsed a 3500SL and wanted to see if anyone has tried to fit any CAI or Exhaust systems.  I previously had a Titan with both the Banks Intake and Exhaust and wanted to see if they would work on the van.

Apparently, this Mgnaflow muffler fits but you'll have to have a custom exhaust pipe made to fit all the way to the back. Here's the muffler

When I get my NVP, I'm planning on putting the muffler in place and then putting a down exhaust pipe right after the muffler and forego the need to have a custom pipe run to the back and side! I'll let you know once I do this.

I ended up putting on the Banks Exhaust system for the Titan.  With a few modifications it fit.  My wife previously had the magnaflow cat back system on her armada and it was OK.  I had the Banks on my Titan and it defiantly gets more attention but the gas millage and power differences were better than the magnaflow.  We are already seeing about 2-3 mpg better on the NV with the change.  Waiting for the Banks intake to arrive to figure out what has to be modified to make it work.

If you go with the Banks exhaust...how loud is it inside the cab of the van. I have a passenger van and I don't want it to be very loud. I have owned several Chevy's with glasspacks, cool on a truck but not on a van. Thanks guys, look forward to your response!
