I would appreciate feedback as to mechanical reliability (my top concern), pros and cons of the Nissan vs Ford for the nomadic lifestyle and any other advice you wish you had known when you were in my shoes! aztec Posted May 4, 2020 I had a Transit. I would never recommend that vehicle. Great to drive, but way too many flaws. The list of TSBs is probably up to 100 by now. radin2son Posted May 4, 2020 Check Nissan Commercial’s web site to see where dealerships are located in planned areas of travel. Only important if you want dealer service, need warranty work or for recalls. Pending airbag recall for older NVs. Very little difference between 2012 to 2020. Older V8 is a good engine. V6 is fine depending on diy build, needs and what you are used to. No reliability issues. NVs have a longer hood, which is great for service, but there is less interior room as a result and no extended option, compared to other vans. Check photos on this site for NV diy photos.
