radin2son Posted July 24, 2020 Buying a NV cargo van is easy. Standard or High roof with V6 or V8. No medium roof height, extended version, wheelbase or length difference. If you can live with this, you will have a great truck.
aztec Posted July 26, 2020 The real issue is reliability. Ford and Fiat have disastrous records. The NV, while comparably low on available features, works. 1 radin2son reacted to this
radin2son Posted July 26, 2020 Reliability is a plus and engine access is excellent. There is a problem with NV’s wheelbase, 146.1” which is longer than the standard Chevy/GMC, 135.2”. If he needs 148”+, he will have to go with an extended van. Same for height; at 6’4”, he can’t stand up in an NV if that is what he wants. (NV Commercial has a comparison link (Chevy/GMC and Sprinter. Specifications for every NV are there as well.) Even current NV owners wanted an extended version and more interior height. We would have liked 1-2’ more interior room.
