River Posted August 4, 2020 I've been looking to get a used cargo van, and comparing the Nissan NV to the Promaster and Tansit. One thing I have noticed is that a lot of the Nissans over 150,000 miles have had their engines replaced or rebuilt. I am not seeing this pattern on the other vans. Is this an actual pattern, and is there a reason for it?
radin2son Posted August 4, 2020 (edited) That is news to us. Where did you get your info? If it were true, there would be many posts here and on FB. For some cars, it could be said that they are built to last the warranty and it is time to buy new. The current car industry would love this. For trucks, this isn’t the case and NVs are trucks, not a euro-style van. Even then, I doubt engine failure is a major problem for “vans.” Edited August 4, 2020 by radin2son
