Wheel and tire upgrades

I want to upgrade my 2017 NV3500 to a 12 or 14 ply low pro tire.

Can I put a 19.5 8 lug rim on it and run a comparable sized tire on it! 

I know you can do it on a Chevy/GMC pick up but have not seen it done on the NV's
