Don't call it a van...hahaha

We had been driving a 2002 Tahoe into the ground and decided it was time for something more versatile so here we are.

Had to laugh at your don’t call it a van.” Before and after Sportsmobile West (Fresno) decided to convert NVs to camper vans, the SMB forum (basically for Ford E series) went ballistic with “not a van” posts. They just couldn’t get over the hood. We bought one anyway and stopped posting there. (SMB built 30 to be sold at commercial dealerships.) In Sisters, OR someone asked if it was a Suburban. . 

 

That was way before 4x4 conversions and lifts were readily available. Your NV and others look far better than the old E Series, although at times, I have no idea what is beyond the long nose on a sharp rise and drop off on a narrow dirt road.
