NV 3500 passenger shutter / shake

We have 2012 NV 3500 every once in awhile we get a shutter / shake. It last about 10 seconds and than goes away.

When this happens I can put the transmission in neutral and the problem stays. I can rev up the RPMs with no change to the shutter / shake.

It does it when I'm towing and also does it when I'm not towing.

Had it back to the dealer they found nothing. They did a transmission service and it still happens.

Where should I start looking?

What are the conditions when and where this happens?

 

Long, fast downhill roads? If that is the case it may be the abs, warped rotors or something going on with wheels and tires. Older posts may be helpful.

Up hill

defiantly not the breaking when this happens 

It has never happened at a higher rate of speed 

I never really looked but would say below 50 MPH

In 2012, the tow package was an option that included tow mode, extendable mirrors, hitch etc. Do you have tow mode? Later years, this was standard with V8s. 

 

That said, I don’t recall any posts reporting a problem like yours.

Yes we have the tow package.

We use the tow mode every time we tow.
