VanMan Posted August 21, 2013 Hello All - any NV200 owners out there with fuel economy to report? I have several people asking me - Obviously the sticker says 24/25 but I have been hearing as high as 27-28 and as low as 22. Anyone feel like contributing? c317414 Posted March 23, 2020 Here are the numbers from last December for the fleet of 20+ NV200s that I manage. Conditions: vans are loaded close to the GVWR, city and freeway combined driving, lot's of stops, ambient temperatures the 40s, no snow. NV200 gasoline powered: 22.42 mpg (based on 20+ vehicles and 110 fuel transactions) 1 radin2son reacted to this

Stewart Posted December 16, 2020 (edited) I drive mostly higher speed highway, my 2017 has about 39,000 miles. I haven't checked it for a couple weeks, but it was most always over 27 mpg, seen 28.5, I believe 29.x once. Its always over 27, even when driving 70-75 mph. Not usually heavily loaded. Very happy with these numbers. Edited December 16, 2020 by Stewart

Rat Kiley Posted August 1 I've had my van for about a month and I've been averaging 18 to 22 miles per gallon except for the one day that I took a big road trip I got up to 24 mpg. Here's why everyone's gas mileage is much lower than advertised for Nissan nv200s. There's a torque converter that steals your RPMs to give you more torque. The faster you accelerate, the more RPMs are put into tour instead of turning the wheels directly like every other vehicle. I think you have to keep your RPMs slow when accelerating or they just get converted to torque and you waste RPMs and therefore waste gas. https://www.dnr.louisiana.gov/assets/TAD/education/ECEP/auto/f/f.htm#:~:text=Mpg will be significantly reduced, type of torque converter failure .
