Wheelchair conversion + large family

Hi,  We're currently looking for our next vehicle and hoping for a Nissan NV.  I love them, just not sure they will work for us. 

 

We need a vehicle that will seat 7 children + 2 adults (9 passenger) + a child's electric wheelchair.  The child won't sit in the chair, we just need a place in the vehicle for it.  My hope was we would be able to put a lift on the back and take out 1/2 the backseat (2 seats) for the wheelchair. Leaving 10 passenger.   

 

Has anyone done this or seen it done?  Think it might be possible?   We measured the chair and a NV and it LOOKS like it would work but we didn't take into account any space the lift would take up.  Anyone?

I see the post is almost a year old, but did you make a descision on a van?  We have a NV3500 with a side lift for my wife (who drives).  We have a few pics (in the photo gallery) if interested.
