axulsuv Posted August 21, 2014 Found some 17x9 rims that I like , They have a -6mm offset . Do those of you that have changed rims think these would clear everything with no issues ? Glenn 1 SseccaNV reacted to this
Tatunka Posted August 31, 2014 (edited) It depends on the tire that you are going to run. The wheel with the -6 will stick out about 46mm (about 1.8 inches) more than stock. Edited October 2, 2014 by Tatunka
axulsuv Posted September 19, 2014 Can you refresh my memory ? Positive offset moves wheel center(mounting surface) to outside of rim , And negative offset gives the deep-dish look , moving the center to the inside of rim ?Or am I bassackwards ? And do we know the offset of the stock wheels ?Thanks , Glenn
Mc2guy Posted September 24, 2014 (edited) Axul, You are correct. 0 offset is center of the rim. Negative offset means the mounting point is on the inboard side of the Rim's centerline, Positive means it's on the outboard side. The NV is +40 stock, so 40mm toward the outboard of the rim's centerline. If you mounted a wheel with a 0 offset on the NV, it would stick out 40mm more than stock assuming the same size wheel. Also, there are 25.4mm per inch, so 46 mm is 1.8 inches. Edited September 24, 2014 by Mc2guy 1 Newneumanns reacted to this

Mc2guy Posted September 29, 2014 Make sure you post a picture of what you go with. I'm eager to see how it turns out! I'll probably replace mine as soon as the tires start to wear out a bit...

axulsuv Posted April 5, 2015 Size: 17x8Offset: 19mmBackspacing: 5.20"Bolt Pattern: 8-165 This is what I'm thinking about with some Michelin's on them .
axulsuv Posted April 5, 2015 (edited) The offset should clear the slider with no issue's , I hope ....By my calculations it should only stick out about 21mm more than the stock wheel , and I'll run the stock tire size .Glenn Edited April 5, 2015 by axulsuv
andy_george Posted April 6, 2015 I put this wheel on my van, same make and extremely similar specs. No issues and look great....

dented Posted September 25, 2015 (edited) So, how about you guys update with pics of your van with the wheels? I bought some wheels when I bought the van, but I am only lukewarm on them. Edited September 26, 2015 by dented
andy_george Posted September 26, 2015 Here is a pic of mine. Usually when I load photos they appear upside-down. In that case, just flip your monitor;)
chphilo Posted December 6, 2017 (edited) Unless you go with very wide tires, you should not have any difficulty with rubbing. My wheels are 17x8.5 with 10 mm offset. I have GY DuraTrac 245/75/17 on them. The tires clear the sliding door. My van is not lifted. Duncan Posted May 18, 2021 Chphilo, the stock wheels are flush with the fenders. Your setup pushes your wheels out 2-5/16 inches, but they still look flush. How is that? Can I get a view from the rear? I'm in the market.
