2012 NV2500/3500 fuel vent issue.

Recommended Posts

This has a recurring issue when fueling the NV trucks my company uses,  the first NV2500 I purchased ended up giving me a $5400 bill because of silt entering the fuel system and plugging injectors etc, ended up also replacing the carbon cannister which weighed about 40lbs as it was full of sand/dirt, my concern is that the dirt from the road will enter the fuel system through this vent tube exposed in the rear wheel well, is there any mention of a solution to this from Nissan.

Looked this up. Evap “sucks in a lot of air” and needs an “unavailable” filter. Nissan, other manufacturers and aftermarket not interested in filter solution. More lucrative for dealership to replace parts.

Your issues haven’t come up. Mostly complaints about check engine code. Bamps posted a fix.
