dufmiester Posted November 8, 2023 Is there a method that will silence all the alarms and warnings from the dash?? Have 2018 nv 3500 nv standard roof .Runs fine in all respects. Get mean average of 14.8 mpg. Run 80 pounds in all four tires , makes a big difference.
crusty Posted November 8, 2023 What alarms? I can think of maybe two. Key in reminder and seat belt reminder. Is there another one that is a problem?
radin2son Posted November 8, 2023 Low psi will trigger a ping and a tread symbol. Back up camera beeps for real and imaginary objects. Doesn’t like shadows. Front sensors used to be a problem for some with front license plates.
crusty Posted November 8, 2023 Backup camera doesn't beep, that is the rear sonar. Press and hold the sonar button (really long time, 5, 10 seconds, something like that) and it will turn off. Then you are free to back into stuff without it beeping at you. The camera is just a camera, it isn't smart enough to see stuff and beep at you. Keep your tires filled, Don't see any problems here. radin2son Posted November 9, 2023 Guess I couldn’t see the sonar bouncing to and from… Seriously, how do you account for sonar seeing shadows? I get it bouncing off uneven terrain, but that isn’t always the case nor is anything close. Periodically, as in seldom, tire beep and symbol come on just to get me to pull over and check. Tires look fine, so get back in, restart and reboot… I don’t recall if going through the psi dash display removes the symbol if psi is fine.
